Cheer of the Day - 9

Pure Trivia - The following information is checked and confirmed by reliable sources.

Did you know?

1. In a religion called Toda which is in southern India, people are forbidden to cross any kind of bridge, according to their rules, rivers must be crossed on foot or swimming.

2. Kleenex tissues were originally used as filters in gas masks.. Yeah, it’s true.

3. Walt Disney, the creator of Mickey Mouse was
afraid of mice.

4. It is said that Mel Blanc, the voice over actor of Bugs Bunny, was allergic to carrots. Apparently, this isn't true and according to his interview he said himself that he simply couldn't tolerate the taste of it and that it would become difficult for him to deliver a line after he had swallowed a crunch of a carrot.
The sound of Bugs chomping on a carrot while delivering a wisecrack was a key element from the beginning, but a technical problem soon became apparent: after taking a noisy bite of carrot, Blanc would have to chew for a while before he could swallow enough of it to deliver his next line. Other crunchy but more easily chewed foods (apples, celery) were tried, but the resulting sounds were less carrotlike. The simplest and best solution, it turned out, was for Blanc to briefly chew on an actual carrot, then spit it out and go on with the voiceover.

5. Hugo Boss Company designed Nazi uniforms. After World War II, Boss was fined for his support of Nazism and was not allowed to vote.  He died of a tooth abscess in 1948.
