Did you know?

1. In 207 BC, there was a philosopher called Chrysippus. He is believed to have died of laughter after watching his drunken donkey to try to eat figs.

2. William Huskisson, a politician, became the first person to be killed by a train. The accident happened when he was attending the opening of Liverpool-Manchester railway.
As he stepped onto the track to meet the Duke of Wellington, Stephenson’s Rocket hit him.

3. King Alexander I of Greece died from blood poisoning after being bitten by his gardener’s pet monkey.

4. Garry Hoy, a lawyer, died after throwing himself through the glass window on the 24th floor of the Toronto-Dominion Centre to prove that the glass was unbreakable, it was in fact, breakable.

5. Isadora Duncan, a dancer, was strangled to death when her scarf was caught in the spokes of a car’s wheel.
